OK, that was a bad week. The theater in Washington DC went on, will go on and the stock markets go to the south. The DAX was fighting successful against a sell signal for weeks but last Monday he gave up. Finally the DAX joint the club of DOW, S&P 100 and S&P 500 who developed a sell signal already September 23rd. That means the weak performance is not really due to the show in Washington DC but it certainly does not help to turn things around.
Allianz got slaughtered on Monday like anyone else, developed a sell signal like anyone else, increased during the week the price again but could not cover the loss. After all a decrease of -0.30%, still better then DAX by -0.45%. Performance for the next week? We are not sure if the chart will go to the side. The chart was running for the third time against 121 Euros and was stopped on Monday, far to early. But nevertheless we do have a sell signal.
Bayer got a sell signal on Friday and the chart might go down to 84 Euros which is the lower line of the current positive trend channel.
Dt. Post achieved a -2.31% for the week. While the chart got on Tuesday a buy signal, the MACD crossed on Thursday the trigger line to the South. The RSI indicator shows us the title is not anymore expensive and it might be a good opportunity to buy more stocks. We can not see a major reason why the market should go away from this business.
The surprise of the week was Beiersdorf with +2.08%. We do have our doubts it is a change of the general direction. The trend gets a correction since March. Even on a weekly level the chart is still in a correction but MACD indicates a possible change in the near future. We will see.
Dt. Telecom is certainly an interesting paper. +3.8% during the week is in the current climate an interesting development. How could we miss that? Answer: We do not like them because we do have our contracts with T-mobile......According to the indicators the "clever money " is moving into this paper and it is meanwhile heavy overpriced. But it is overbought since September 12th and it might continue for some more days. But it is risky to invest right now. We might see during the next days a correction. After all the current price is the second highest price since January 2009.
Sometimes it is better to keep the cash.........
But as always: just my 5 cents
