German DAX week of August 31st, Allianz, Infineon, Dt. Post, K+S, Muenchener Rueckversicherung

What a ride. The week started quite good and the index got to the north, finally.

The index crossed the 200 day line and everything looked good until mid week. The DAX got a weak performance. What might be the reason? Certainly they still play war in East Europe and they discuss even more sanctions for Russia. But is this a reason why the index does not perform?

We do not think so. They will hardly increase or add  more sanctions against Russia. The first European countries said they would vote against it because it will damaged their economy. We think the reason is more simple. The US is on vocation. As mentioned before you can see at 2pm in Germany when the US open their stock markets. But this week was hardly to see any impact during the second half of the week.

How did our investments do the last week?

Allianz    +1.21%
Infineon  + 1.27%
Dt Post    +1.78%
K+S         - 0.55%
DAX       + 1.40%

While our long term stocks performed a little bit under DAX, we are pleased to see Dt Post performance was above the index. As discussed last week it was time to close K+S. The SAR indicator confirmed on Friday to close the investment.

We are confident the DAX will continue to rise, maybe not like Dt. Bank published last week to 11,000 points, but quite a few stocks developed a sell signal on Friday like ThyssenKrupp and Volkswagen.

This week our attention got Muenchener Rueckversicherung

We think the correction is done and it is time to put some money into the stocks.  The majority of our trade system's parameters suggest a buy. We are confident we will see an increase.

But as always: just my 5 cents......
