That was a strange day.
The DOW index continued to climb this morning. I actually expected a turn to the south in the morning and then a recover. But that was not the case. It started good, too good and around 10:45 AM the big sell off started. I know there is always a morning trade cycle and around lunch time it will be quite. But today the morning trade cycle was over at 10:45AM. to early for the lunch break.
The chart
If you check the different stocks of the DOW you will see the same pattern quite often, of course. I did not catch anything on the news but I am sure I miss something. All the investors stop buying at the very same time or do we have an action of a big group of hedge funds going short? Maybe some of my readers can tell me what happened today.
I certainly do not think it is so easy like some analysts say today: Investors pocket the profit of the last days. All at 10:45 because after breakfast they decided to do that. Here are some example of the highly paid analyst: Explanation of CNBC or this one
They claim "the technology stocks lead the decline" Right: Walt Disney, Merck and Wal-Mart are all "technology stocks". I simply did not realized that. Oh man......The trouble is they get paid for these kind of statements. I am in the wrong business.
As always: just my 5 cents.
