MetroPCS and Sprint

What a day....

In the morning I read in the newspaper the ECB will do whatever is necessary to keep the Euro alive.

Heureka, finally it is done and the word is out. I am sure "Mutti" will not like that. The German Kanzler will have major concerns. But it was good for the market and the share prices jumped up, specially in Europe. The  Bank shares recovered and were top of the list.

But what happened in US? Something similar? No, not at all. In US we can see today a totally different picture. Leading of the pack are not the banks. The biggest increase we can see today by phone companies. What a surprise. MetroPCS up by 36.78% and Sprint is up by 20.18%. These are figures I am talking about. Getting rich in one day. What a shame: I do not have these stocks. Well, it looks like I will not be rich after all.  

But who is buying these amount of shares? Over 31 million shares of Metro PCS and over 262 millions by Sprint were traded today. Even if the share price for Sprint is so bad, so low that they are not good at all for a margin account: that is certainly not Jo the plumber. Someone is sorting the industry. I learned at school it is called "internal growth" if you buy the competition. Well, who knows.  As I said i missed the boat....

It was my intention to write today about what I think should be the right investment. But after I saw the figures tonight of the phone companies it is better to be quite and sad....
